Talaysay Tours offers Indigenous cultural learning experiences for schools that invite students to learn through connection with land, story, and place. Designed for classroom groups of all ages, these experiences support curiosity, reflection, and respectful engagement with Indigenous knowledge systems in a way that is thoughtful, age-appropriate, and grounded in care. Guided by experienced Cultural Land Ambassadors, each program is paced to meet students where they are, creating space for listening, dialogue, and meaningful learning beyond the classroom.
What to Expect
Each school program is designed with students’ ages, learning styles, and group dynamics in mind, creating an experience that is supportive, engaging, and grounded in care for both people and place.
While content may draw from our established public tours, school programs allow for slower pacing, deeper discussion, and thoughtful adaptation to suit classroom learning goals. Guides create space for curiosity, questions, and reflection, ensuring students feel welcome to participate at a level that feels right for them.
Programs may include:

Whether students are encountering these teachings for the first time or returning with prior knowledge, each experience is facilitated to feel intentional, respectful, and appropriate for the group.
Every program concludes with a shared moment of gratitude and conversation, accompanied by a cup of Indigenous tea, reinforcing learning through connection and care.

School tours are available across all Talaysay locations, including forested parks, coastal trails, urban green spaces, and culturally significant sites throughout the Sunshine Coast, Sea-to-Sky, and surrounding areas.

Meeting points, routes, and accessibility considerations are confirmed during the planning process. For custom locations or large groups, advance notice allows us to ensure proper preparation, staffing, and care for the land and participants.
Final locations and routes are selected with group size, age range, accessibility needs, and site suitability in mind.
Group Size & Capacity
Group size and staffing are planned carefully to ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students and supervisors alike.
Minimum booking: 20 students, or base-rate equivalent
Typical group size: 20–60 students
Large groups: School groups of 60+ students may be accommodated with advance notice
Maximum capacity: Groups of over 120 students may be possible with additional planning and staffing
For larger groups or multi-class bookings, advance coordination allows us to ensure appropriate guide-to-student ratios, clear meeting logistics, and a well-paced experience that supports learning, safety, and care for the land. Early inquiries are strongly encouraged for schools planning larger outings.

We operate our tours and programs in the rain.
The company reserves the right to cancel when extreme weather and wind impacts safety.
Guest Protocol
Tours start promptly
Arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start
Late guests or missed tours are not reimbursed
Group booking cancellation: 10 days notice prior to tour is required and a 20% administration fee applies
Cancellations with less than the required notice are 100% non-refundable
