Paddle Tours - Full Day

A Full-Day Paddle Rooted in Story, Ecology & Coastline Connection
Launch from Porpoise Bay and journey across the calm waters of the Sechelt Inlet on this 5–6 hour guided cultural paddle. Choose between kayak or canoe and explore one of the most beautiful stretches of shíshálh swiya (territory), accompanied by our Cultural Land Ambassadors who share teachings, stories, and ecological knowledge along the way.
This tour is paced for presence rather than speed, blending movement on the water with time for reflection, discussion, learning, and rest. Depending on conditions, we may land on a quiet beach for a break, tea, or shoreline teachings.
No prior paddling experience is required. All equipment; kayak or canoe, paddle, PFD, and dry bag if needed, is provided.
What to Expect
Your day begins with check-in at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park, followed by orientation, outfitting, and a safety review. Those arriving early may add an optional forest walk before launch. Once on the water, we travel along the shoreline at a comfortable pace, with cultural teachings and ecological knowledge woven throughout the journey. Everyone is supported in learning at their own rhythm, with guides close by to assist as needed.
Midway through the day, we come ashore for a lunch break and time to swim or simply rest on the beach. Food is provided, and this moment on the land offers space for reflection, connection, and conversation.
The paddle typically lasts 5–6 hours, depending on conditions, tides, and group rhythm.
Optional Add-On: Talking Trees Walking Tour (9:00–10:00 AM)
Begin your experience with a 1-hour forest walk at Porpoise Bay before your launch. This gentle add-on shares plant teachings, Indigenous ecological knowledge, and cultural stories of the coastal rainforest — led by a Cultural Land Ambassador while we prepare your paddle gear. (+$30.00 per person / $70.00 value)
