Paddle Tours - Half Day

Guided• Cultural Interpretation • Sunshine Coast

Discover the Coastline, Stories, and Sacred Waters of the Inlet

Discover the shoreline of the Sechelt Inlet through Indigenous teachings, gentle paddling, and cultural storytelling. Led by our trained Cultural Land Ambassadors, this 3.5-hour kayak or canoe experience invites you to move with the tide, learn from the land, and witness the relationships held between these waters and the shíshálh people.

No experience needed; just curiosity, readiness to paddle, and a willingness to listen to the stories carried by the inlet.

What to Expect

Your experience begins at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park with check-in, outfitting, and a brief orientation. Once on the water, we travel along the protected coastline at a relaxed group pace, with teachings and interpretation woven throughout the journey.

Expect space for quiet reflection, shoreline pauses, and storytelling grounded in the land and waters we travel through. Guides remain nearby throughout the paddle to support comfort, safety, and learning at all levels.

This tour typically lasts 3.5 hours, depending on conditions and group rhythm.

Optional Add-On: Talking Trees Walking Tour (9:00–10:00 AM)
Begin your morning with a 1-hour forest walk through Porpoise Bay. This gentle add-on shares traditional plant knowledge, cultural teachings, and ecological relationships; guided by a Cultural Land Ambassador while we prepare your paddle gear.
(+$30.00 per guest / $70.00 value)
