Open to shishalh youth (16+) - Grade 10-12 Students.
You will get to visit your traditional homelands; learn about your culture and history; visit significant traditional use sights, and have fun in the swiya. You will be asked your thoughts and values about future land use regarding fish, animals, water, trees, medicine, places for family, spiritual connections, and cultural consideration. You don't need to know anything before you come - all feedback matters. Food and transport provided.

Q: Who is this trip intended for?
This trip is for shíshálh Nation community member Youth in Grade 10-12 (Ages 16-19).
Q: What kind of trip is this?
A full-day boat trip through Narrows Inlet, with stops and discussions along the way.
Q: How long is the trip?
Approximately 7 hours, with a direct route up to the head of the inlet and a return journey with stops as time allows.
Q: Where do we meet?
Transport will be provided to Egmont where we will depart by boat. Specific meeting instructions will be shared in advance of the tour.
Q: What should I bring?
Please dress in layers and bring a water bottle, personal items, and any medications or comfort items for the day. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Additional snacks welcome.
