Sachi Adventures - Snowshoe Journey

We’re excited to welcome you to a Sachi Pride Snowshoe Tour at Dakota Ridge on the Sunshine Coast. This inclusive outdoor experience is designed for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and is led by local 2SLGBTQIA+ guides from the Sunshine Coast.

The tour combines snowshoeing with storytelling, connection to the land, and stunning mountain and ocean views. The pace is relaxed, with time for breaks, and we’re happy to accommodate a slower pace or extended schedule as needed.

What You Need for This Tour:
• Ankle-high hiking boots or snow boots
• Warm layers suitable for winter conditions
• Waterproof or shell outdoor pants
• Water-resistant winter jacket
• Toque and gloves
• Water bottle
• Snacks
•Warm non- cotton socks
• Small backpack
• Extra dry clothing (recommended)

Site Location: Dakota Ridge, Sunshine Coast

Arrival & Departure
Please arrive by 9:00 AM. We’ll use 9:00–9:15 AM for check-in and travel coordination. The snowshoe experience begins at 10:00 AM, so please arrive dressed for winter conditions.

We meet at Strait Coffee (next to IGA, in the parking lot).

Carpooling & Transportation
Guests do not travel to Dakota Ridge on their own. We coordinate carpooling in advance to ensure everyone reaches the trail safely.

If you need a ride, or if you have extra seats available in your vehicle, please note this in the Accessibility Notes when booking. Our team will arrange carpooling before the event and confirm details with the group.

Travel to Snowshoe Location
We will caravan from Strait Coffee to the trailhead together. The exact trail location is confirmed 24–48 hours prior based on conditions. If you’re driving, please ensure your vehicle is winter-ready.

Weather & Contingency Plan
We closely monitor weather and trail conditions. If conditions change, we’ll activate our contingency plan 24–72 hours before the experience. The experience duration and value remain the same. Guests will be notified in advance of any adjustments, and we’ll stay in communication leading up to the tour.

This Tour Includes: Snowshoes, warm tea, light snack

If you require dietary modifications, please inform us in advance and we will provide an alternate snack suited to your needs.

Cancellation Policy:

• Client cancellations: 48 hours or more in advance — refund less a 20% administration fee

• Group cancellations: 10 days or more in advance — refund less a 20% administration fee

This experience needs a minimum of 6 guests to proceed. In the event we do not have enough guests register for this event, you will receive a full refund.

Please note: All guests are required to complete a digital waiver or informed consent form before embarking on their tour experience. A waiver link will be included in your confirmation email, providing access to our waiver portal where forms can be signed easily online.
