As part of syíyaya Days, join us for a powerful forest walk in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. syíyaya (meaning “relatives” in she shashishalhem) is a celebration of shared history and unity between Indigenous and settler communities on the Sunshine Coast. On this tour, Cultural Land Ambassadors will share ancestral teachings, traditional ecological knowledge, and cultural stories held by the trees. This is not just a walk; it’s an invitation to listen, learn, and reconnect to the land in a spirit of reconciliation and mutual respect.
This is not a hike, but a gentle, conversational walking tour suitable for all ages and abilities.

Waivers will be provided onsite prior to the tour. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in.
