An Indigenous‑based guided walk and printmaking workshop that invites participants to explore ecology, wildlife, and creative expression through land‑based learning.
A Deeper Ecology – Walk & Print with Talaysay is an Indigenous‑led ethnoecology experience taking place at the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre in North Vancouver, on the traditional territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil‑Waututh) Nations.
This experience invites participants to slow down and engage with the land through Indigenous ways of knowing, combining creative practice with land‑based learning.
The day includes two connected experiences:
10:30 AM – Guided Printmaking Workshop
Participants will take part in a hands‑on printmaking workshop inspired by the surrounding environment. Using mark‑making and plant‑based imagery, the workshop encourages creative reflection and observation.
12:30 PM – Love the Land Walking Tour
Guests will then join a guided Love the Land walking tour focused on ethnoecology, Indigenous relationships to land, and local ecosystems.
This experience is guided by Indigenous, non‑Indigenous, and allied staff who work closely with Talaysay Tours and are oriented to the objectives and values of the program.
