About Kayaking

We invite you to paddle with us as we share the stories and history of the Salish Sea and how it has provided for our peoples since time immemorial. Your Talaysay Guides will provide you instruction on basic paddle strokes, techniques and safety while taking in the scenery, including the seabirds, mammals and vista views of the mountains. 

Experience

Duration: 2-3 hours

Guided tour: This experience includes an Indigenous kayak guide, Indigenous tea and snacks

Accessibility: Moderate level of fitness required for this experience. Basic kayak and paddle techniques are provided

Rates

$195 Adult

  • GST (5%) applied at payment

  • Includes: all kayak equipment, pfd, bileage pump, paddle, spare paddle, paddle float

What to bring

  • Water shoes or old runners. Please do not wear flip flops

  • Layered clothing - dress for the weather

  • Water bottle

  • Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended

  • If weather is extreme with respect to rain or wind we will contact you to reschedule your experience

Guest protocol

  • Tours start promptly

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start

  • Late guests or missed tours are not reimbursed

  • Cancellation: 10 days notice prior to tour is required and a 20% administration fee applies

  • Cancellations with less than the required notice are 100% non-refundable
