Offered as part of Syiyaya Days, this guided experience is connected to the wider community gathering supported by the syíyaya Reconciliation Movement, the District of Sechelt, and the shíshálh Nation.
Set at Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, this experience invites guests to slow down, listen, observe, and notice the relationships between winged ones, berry plants, shoreline habitats, forest edges, and seasonal cycles.
Through story, observation, and land-based interpretation, guests will be invited to connect with the living systems that hold and sustain this coastal place.

Where We Meet
We gather at Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, where forest, wetland, shoreline, and open water create rich habitat for birds, plants, berries, and seasonal life.
Please meet your guide at the interpretive sign at the entrance to Sargeant Bay Provincial Park, adjacent to the lower parking lot.
From there, the group will begin a gentle walking route through the park, moving slowly enough to observe, listen, and connect with the surrounding landscape.

Accessibility & Arrival
Free parking is available near the meeting area.
The walking route follows outdoor park trails and may include uneven ground, roots, gravel, mud, grass, or seasonal wet areas. Please wear comfortable footwear and dress for the weather.

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and meet your guide at the interpretive sign near the lower parking lot.
