About NEW - Spoken Treasures Tour in Stanley Park with Seawall Walk

Tour Description:  Explore iconic Stanley Park and walk the seawall with Indigenous Cultural Ambassadors.  Our trained ambassador-guides will walk with you along the seawall, a 1.1 km walk, while sharing the stories, history and lore of our great city of Vancouver – through Indigenous eyes.  This tour includes the indigenous history of Stanley Park and Vancouver and is completed at the renowned Stanley Park Totem Poles where the guided tour will conclude with the stories of the totem poles and the indigenous people who carved them.

What to wear/bring:  good walking shoes and dress for the weather.  An umbrella and rain resistant clothing if raining.  Sun glasses, a hat and sunscreen in the summer season.

Who we are:  All of our guides are indigenous members of the local tribes of this area.  Talaysay Tours, owned by Candace and Larry Campo, Shishalh (Sechelt) and Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish) First Nation members, offer you an enriched cultural outdoor experience.  Our First Nation guides will share with you our ancient and contemporary stories, legends and Aboriginal ways of living as passed down to us through oral tradition.

This tour includes:  your guide.  Indigenous tea and a snack when booked in advance.

Customer Service, Policies & Best Practices

We paddle on light rainy days and encourage visitors to love our rain forest coast, just as the locals do. If weather is extreme with respect to rain or wind, we will consult and re-schedule. Cancellations with 48 hours advance notice will be reimbursed with a 20% admin fee. If you would like to reschedule for another day, our company will schedule you in. Groups of four or more, if cancelling with Talaysay, we require 7 days notice for reimbursement.

Payments, Taxes & Group Rates

We accept Visa and Mastercard. Your booking will be completed by your payment in full in which you will receive a full itinerary by email. 5% GST will be added to your booking payment. * Group rates are available for larger groups, please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
